The Senior Learning Consultant consults with clients to recommend L&D and learning technology solutions that meet unique business needs and help grow authentic learning cultures inside of enterprise organizations. Responsibilities include:
Advanced Consulting & L&D Strategy
- Serve as primary Unboxed strategic consulting partner on key accounts, driving decisions, owning the L&D roadmap and supporting retainer management
- Guide strategic direction of consulting work, anticipate needs and drive long-term vision/roadmap, advise and influence senior leaders and recommend learning and technology solutions that drive business impact
- Engage in learning needs analysis and diagnostic efforts in order to identify gaps and create modern curriculum strategies, learning journeys, learner personas, learner experience design, and measurement strategy
- Plan and lead collaborative client workshops and contribute thought leadership and industry impact
- Provide ongoing consultation for clients, including executive leaders, to identify, assess, and solve learning & development needs. Support clients with change management, including stakeholder management and internal communications
Business Development
- Provide L&D expertise on sales calls and behind the scenes to accelerate the sales cycle and support closing new opportunities.
- Prepare engaging, creative proposals and presentations that leverage storytelling and value-based positioning
- Partner with BD team to contribute to the lifetime value of accounts through creative solutioning
Leadership
- Oversee, review work and mentor learning consultants and lead project teams
Key Skills Include:
- Ability to synthesize and analyze data and use business acumen to solve problems and make recommendations to clients
- Creativity and the ability to position solutions via engaging storytelling in a way that enables clients to see how the recommended solution delivers their desired outcomes.
- Executive presence and the ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to think strategically and innovatively
- 10-plus years’ experience building solutions architecture to achieve business outcomes
- Prior experience in instructional design strongly preferred
- Experience with long-term strategic planning at a large division or company level
- Experience in a specific domain or industry vertical a plus
- Prior consultative sales experience a plus
