Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coder Certified ROC PT.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform coding for inpatient records, including DRG assignment and validation
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of coding and maintain relationships with relevant teams
• Utilize the 3M Encoder to accurately code and classify medical records according to ICD-10-CM/PCS

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Three to five years of coding experience required, preferably in inpatient coding
• Advanced training in medical coding (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and APC)
• High school diploma, GED, or higher education required
• Certification from AHIMA (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CCA) or AAPC Coding Certification required
• Degree in Medical Records or a healthcare-related field or a Coding Education Certificate preferred
