Staff Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Activation & Engagement (Growth).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on development of critical architecture components and drive the technical vision for activation and engagement improvements
• Design and build highly available backend services that enhance seller experiences, including onboarding and engagement features
• Mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives across multiple teams to foster a culture of engineering excellence

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of backend/server engineering experience with proven impact at scale
• Deep expertise in Java and/or Kotlin within the JVM ecosystem
• Recognized authority in backend distributed systems with a strong track record of architecting scalable solutions
• Experience with modern cloud infrastructure and automation at scale
• Domain experience in onboarding/activation, user engagement, or high-scale consumer/B2B SaaS platforms
