Senior Accountant - TX Licensed

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Accountant to support its Finance Department in a hybrid role focused on the public and nonprofit sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger; prepare journal entries and account analyses
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and audit preparation
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation

Required Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 2 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including reconciliations and month-end close
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation)
• Experience in nonprofit, government, healthcare, or grant-funded environments is preferred
• Familiarity with fund accounting or multiple program cost centers is a plus
