Tax Reporting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Tax Reporting Specialist responsible for reviewing and reconciling client tax reporting information.

Key Responsibilities

• Review nonresident alien account documentation and update account information based on IRS reporting requirements
• Prepare customer year-end IRS Forms including 1099, 1099R, 5498, and 1042-S
• Review and reconcile cost basis reporting through GainsKeeper for all reportable accounts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 3+ years' experience with tax and cost basis reporting in the brokerage industry
• Ability to read a 1099 and understand the logistics within
• Understand corporate actions and financial processing
• Knowledge of Phase3, Wall Street Concepts, GainsKeeper, and/or DTCC
