Introduction
This role is an integral part of the Base Support Group within the Integrated Operations Division. As an IT Developer, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of professionals, managing daily production requirements, and ensuring maximum efficiency, compliance, and safety.
What You’ll Do
• Mentor and guide colleagues to progress and build strong relationships
• Manage daily production requirements through subordinates for engine shop maintenance, repair, and overhaul
• Ensure colleagues follow policies to guarantee maximum efficiency, compliance, and safety
• Lead staff to ensure colleagues’ skills are utilized to the highest potential and coordinate with Support Training for ongoing improvement
• Conduct regular meetings with Business Reviews and Tours to ensure optimal communication, identification, and resolution of issues
• Monitor the coordination of maintenance labor requirements, overtime, and consistency with program scheduling and needs
• Maintain effective communication between Support, Engineering, Facilities Maintenance, and other Supply Chain groups
• Ensure colleagues understand and are engaged in achieving key metrics and performance indicators
• Implement labor organization and shift production requirements
Requirements for Success
To be considered for this role, you’ll need:
• Minimum 1 year of service experience directing production activity in a space related to shop maintenance
• Experience directing or leading workgroups
• Preferred qualifications include turbine engine-related experience
• A&P License
• Understanding of airline/technical operations
• Knowledge of inspection requirements
• Knowledge of work reporting and team implementation
• Strong interpersonal and computer skills
• Ability to handle multiple areas of responsibility simultaneously
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills
• Must pass a background reference check and criminal fingerprint check
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of colleagues
