Position Description

We are searching for Construction Management Claims Professionals at all levels. The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in the construction industry as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, Cost Engineer, Project Controls Manager, Owner Representative, Claims Consultant, or other similar position. Insurance claims experience, particularly related to Construction Professional policies and to construction defect claims associated with Commercial General Liability policies are a plus.

The successful candidates will have the following responsibilities:
• Review and analyze construction project documentation including contracts, change orders, payment applications, schedules, meeting minutes, monthly reports, and daily reports
• Construction Cost data analysis
• Evaluation of construction defect issues
• Preparation of technical reports
• Preparation of Microsoft PowerPoint presentations to summarize findings
• Collaborate with clients to communicate results of document review and cost analysis and to coach contractors on best practices with insurance claims

Skills Description

We are seeking team members who possess the following skills:
• Understanding of construction terminology, means and methods, and project workflows associated with various types of construction including vertical, transportation, and heavy civil projects
• Working knowledge of construction documentation including meeting minutes, owner reports, schedule narratives, RFIs, payment applications, contracts and change orders, lien waivers, and payroll records, among others
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Keen attention to detail and quality control
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and excellent listening skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Customer focused with a desire for process improvement
• Ability and willingness to engage project teams to understand the nature of their work scopes and the documentation needed to process related insurance claims
• Ability and willingness to engage insurance carrier clients to convey the status of claims under review and the documentation available in support of claim requests

This is a fully remote position, which requires a dedicated and non-disruptive workspace, including reliable high-speed internet connection for video conferencing, which is reimbursed by Proactive

Salary: Range depending on experience.
