Mid-Level Project Manager (15.22)

OCT Consulting, LLC is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

OCT currently has an opening for Mid-Level Project Managers to work with our federal client. This position is responsible for managing assigned projects from initiation through completion, focusing on planning, execution, monitoring, and closure while ensuring all project deliverables meet USCG requirements. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage 2-3 concurrent projects from initiation through completion
  • Develop and maintain Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) documentation
  • Create Project Charters, Project Tailoring Plans, and Project Management Plans
  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings and working sessions
  • Document meeting minutes and distribute to stakeholders
  • Provide technical writing and editorial support for project documentation
  • Support market research and procurement activities as needed
  • Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Report project status to the Senior Project Manager and OISPL leadership
  • Provide backup support for other Project Managers as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in project management
  • PMP Certification required
  • Experience with federal IT projects and documentation requirements
  • Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle methodologies
  • Strong meeting facilitation and coordination skills
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation abilities
  • Experience with federal procurement processes preferred
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Must be a US Citizen

Salary Range: $125,000-140,000 per year commensurate with experience, education, etc.
