New York Licensed Immigration Attorney

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Part-Time Supervising Immigration Attorney for the Free to Be Youth Project.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise staff attorneys, legal volunteers, and interns while managing professional development
• Handle a caseload of clients seeking various forms of immigration relief and represent them in proceedings
• Stay informed on immigration policy changes and actively participate in team meetings

Required Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in immigration law, focusing on humanitarian applications
• Admitted to practice in New York State (preferred)
• Experience with trauma-informed lawyering and working with survivors of crime
• Ability to analyze immigration consequences of criminal convictions
• Organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively
