A company is looking for a Part-Time Supervising Immigration Attorney for the Free to Be Youth Project.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise staff attorneys, legal volunteers, and interns while managing professional development
- Handle a caseload of clients seeking various forms of immigration relief and represent them in proceedings
- Stay informed on immigration policy changes and actively participate in team meetings
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in immigration law, focusing on humanitarian applications
- Admitted to practice in New York State (preferred)
- Experience with trauma-informed lawyering and working with survivors of crime
- Ability to analyze immigration consequences of criminal convictions
- Organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively
