We are looking for a motivated and passionate team player to take the responsibility to manage products (portfolio) for a defined application and/or technology locally. Reporting to the Marketing Group Leader for the United Kingdom & Ireland, this position offers you the opportunity to develop the portfolio for our United Kingdom & Ireland subsidiary. We are looking for someone with a proactive mindset and a hands-on-mentality, who is flexible and dedicated to deliver results.
- Contributes to Local and EU Marketing Plan (development and execution using all marketing tools including digital activities) based on sound market and sales analysis as well as local business strategies for new product launches, applications, technologies and/or defined customer segments. Develops strategic parts of local marketing plan in alignment with Global and European marketing strategies.
- Develops and implements local campaigns and lead generation projects in collaboration with the sales team and contributes to market research activities by identifying target audience, competitors, and market trends .
- Conducts product/portfolio talks in external events and support conferences/congresses, scientific seminars and customer events. Provides application-related talks, troubleshooting, training and support to external customers pre- and after-sales as well as internal & external product/portfolio demonstrations and/or trainings including development of product/portfolio training content & presentations.
- Deputises account manager temporarily, reply to customer inquiries, create sales quotations, update CRM data
- Active Management of customer collaborations with KOLs, ß-test sites or early adopter(s) and identify opportunities for large scale and customised business. Support key account projects
- Performs other marketing related duties that fall outside of the scope of the product portfolio but correspond with the knowledge and abilities
- Minimum degree MSc. in a life science discipline is mandatory with related scientific background
- At least 3-5 year relevant working experience, preferably in an life science tools environment including methodical knowhow. Desirable to have Marketing and/or Commercial background
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills in both face-to-face and virtual settings, ranging from small to large groups.
- Positive energy with strong interpersonal skills.Flexibility, hands-on mentality and perseverance characterize your working style
- Proficiency in using Microsoft office applications (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Teams), CRM and content management systems.
- Fluent in English. Excellent business communication skills (verbal and written)
