We are seeking a dedicated apprenticeship tutor to join our dynamic team at Logistics UK. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team responsible for delivering high-quality training within the transport sector, specifically for the Transport Operations Supervisor Level 3 apprenticeship program. This role demands an industry expert knowledge to deliver the Transport Manager CPC, including team-leading elements. The successful candidate will support a high-quality experience for both our apprentices and their employers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong relationships with employers to foster ongoing business partnerships. 
  • Deliver high-quality training sessions focused on transport legislation. 
  • Utilise industry expertise to provide practical and theoretical knowledge, ensuring apprentices gain a comprehensive understanding of their field. 
  • Mark apprentices' work accurately and promptly, ensuring consistency and fairness in assessment. 
  • Provide constructive developmental feedback to apprentices, guiding their progress and identifying areas for improvement. 
  • Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages apprentices to develop their skills, confidence, and professional behaviour. 
  • Delivery of commercial courses when required. 
  • Promote and ensure the safeguarding and well-being of apprentices. 
  • Comply with the Safeguarding, Prevent and Health and Safety Policies and be always vigilant to potential concerns and risks. 
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to any safeguarding concerns. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures and comply with all relevant legislation. 
  • Undertake appropriate learning and development activities as required for the job role and maintain a record of all CPD. 
  • To attend standardisation and team meetings. 
  • To perform such other duties and to accept such other responsibilities as may reasonably be required. 
  •  Proven experience in the transport sector, particularly in delivering Transport Manager CPC and team-leading training. 
  • Teaching/Training qualification level 3 or above (or willing to work towards if applying as Trainee Tutor)
  • Strong knowledge of transport legislation. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.  
  • Strong organisational and time management skills. 
  • Proficient in identifying training needs and implementing solutions.  
  • High levels of numeracy and literacy with good attention to detail. 
  • A holder of a Transport Manager CPC qualification. 
  • Passionate about education and training. 
  • Commitment to delivering the highest quality of training. 
  • Adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of a dynamic working environment. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with apprentices and employers.

 All adults within Logistics UK who have access to learners, will be checked as to their suitability to work with learners.  Our procedures are in line with statutory requirements and as outlined in KCSIE 2022 Part Three: Safer Recruitment.   The successful applicant will be required to provide two satisfactory references and agree to an enhanced DBS check. We will also ask for information related to previous convictions if you are shortlisted for an interview.
