Summary:
We are seeking a Public Policy Coordinator to support security policy initiatives by managing organizational processes, refining policy positions, and maintaining internal documentation. This role will be instrumental in coordinating cross-functional work, setting meeting agendas, capturing notes, tracking action items, and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide logistical and administrative support for security policy initiatives, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, and tracking action items.
- Maintain and update policy documentation, identifying and resolving gaps in existing materials.
- Draft policy positions and reports on emerging security issues in collaboration with the security policy team.
- Develop playbooks and operational frameworks for handling security and sensitive information policies.
- Track progress on strategic priorities, identifying and addressing resource misalignments as needed.
- Organize and manage cross-functional coordination efforts, ensuring smooth collaboration across teams.
- Support the creation of talking points and long-term deliverables for security-related initiatives.
- Engage with team members regularly to align on project goals and deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in public policy, program management, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editorial skills for policy or public affairs documentation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity, privacy, global security, or technology policy.
- Experience managing multiple projects and working in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and track tasks efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on security topics such as misinformation, disinformation, or global election security.
- Background in cybersecurity-related issues in social media, including account takeovers and spyware.
- Experience working with policy or operations for a large technology platform.
Location: Onsite (Washington D.C.)
Role type: Contract 12 Month Position
