Licensed Claims Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Claims Counsel to provide legal support and guidance to Claims personnel in a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee litigated P&C coverage matters and assist Claims personnel with negotiated resolutions
• Review P&C claims for coverage issues and provide research and guidance to Claims staff
• Draft coverage position letters and assist with document collection and drafting responses to subpoenas

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in at least one state
• At least 5-7 years' experience evaluating P&C coverage claims and litigation
• Experience with General Liability, BOP, Commercial Auto, Workers' Compensation, and Professional Liability coverage issues preferred
• Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite and working remotely
