POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated Computational Biology Intern to support efforts in genomic data analysis. This internship will provide hands-on experience working with sequencing data, transcriptomics, and bioinformatics tools to investigate key genomic features relevant to our scientific initiatives. The intern will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to contribute to computational workflows and data-driven discoveries.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Process and analyze sequencing data (e.g., RNAseq, whole-genome sequencing, etc.) to extract biologically relevant insights
- Apply computational methods to investigate and characterize genomic features
- Utilize bioinformatics tools and public databases for data processing and interpretation
- Collaborate with scientists and bioinformaticians to refine computational approaches
- Present findings in team meetings and contribute to internal research reports
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, or a related field
- Understanding of next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, particularly RNAseq
- Experience with bioinformatics tools and computational data analysis
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and/or Bash
- Familiar with Linux environments for installing, running, and developing bioinformatic tools
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience with genome annotation is a plus
