Job Summary The visual design team within the Corporate Communications team produces thoughtful and elevated creative to represent the Comcast brand across different mediums. We create compelling graphics and branded material displayed across the organization’s owned and paid channels, including but not limited to the corporate website, reports and fact sheets, press materials, presentations, and social media channels. Our work has a digital focus, but print projects are a part of the mix. We are seeking a creative, innovative design director to join our team. The responsibilities of the design director include interpreting briefs and turning them into creative opportunities, delivering high-quality products, overseeing design teams, and troubleshooting problems. The candidate must be able to adhere to tight deadlines in a fast paced newsroom environment. The design director should have strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Developing, and inspiring the design team

Meeting with partners inside the organization to discuss their needs and the design elements they want

Interpreting abstract business concepts and briefs and turning them into creative ideas

Developing strategic design plans with project timelines

Pitching ideas and the creative vision to our partners and communicating the project outline to the design team

Overseeing design projects, from start to finish and monitoring the design team to keep them within timeline constraints

Closely collaborating with studio producers and crew, making design decisions in real-time

Reviewing feedback and making alterations accordingly

Analyzing trends and research to create more effective designs

Making sure vendors, freelance creatives, and other collaborators deliver work that aligns with our brand identity and guidelines

Collaborate with other creative leaders of the team to advance the Comcast brand

Design Director Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, advertising, or a related field

10+ years of design experience with 3-5 years of managerial or senior-level design experience

Experience communicating corporate messaging

Strong creativity skills and the vision to turn briefs into creative projects

In-depth knowledge of graphic design tools (Adobe Suite, Figma, PPT, etc.)

Working knowledge of creating assets for broadcasting and live events

Excellent leadership, organization, and analytical skills.

Good collaboration and communication skills.

Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

Ability to resolve complex design and communication issues.
