Cloud Database Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cloud Database Administrator to support a cloud development effort for the Department of the Treasury.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize relational and open-source databases and AWS managed services
• Lead database migration efforts from on-premises to AWS, ensuring high availability and security
• Implement and maintain database failover, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience (9+ years without a degree)
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and AWS database services
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure components
• Proficiency in scripting and monitoring tools
• Strong understanding of database recovery, performance, and security
