The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) works to modernize city government and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of City services. We focus on innovating and strengthening the city’s administrative functions and enabling resident-facing departments to evaluate, plan, and continually improve their service delivery.
The Intern & Learning Program Lead Coordinator (ILP Lead) will work in the Office of Talent & Employee Success, a division in CAO that focuses on the development and implementation of strategic human resource initiatives and process improvements working closely with the operating departments across the City of Philadelphia and the Office of Human Resources to implement these improvement initiatives. Our mission is to build a progressive City Workforce utilizing modern and transformational talent management strategies.
Position Summary
The Intern and Lad Program Lead Coordinator (ILP) is responsible for promoting and managing the city's Mayor’s internship program. This role involves developing, hosting and conducting information sessions with colleges and prospective employee supervisors (virtually and in-person), reviewing high volume of applications, coordinating internship interviews with city agencies, matching college interns with departmental internship positions, and developing a comprehensive 10-week internship program to include professional development, orientation, and career readiness, and collaborating with City agencies and programs for high school internships.
Additionally, this position will coordinate monthly college fairs for the City's Returning to Learning tuition discount program. This involves regular contact and relationship building with the college partners in the program and conducting info-sessions to promote the program to the City’s workforce.

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
Experience:
At least two years of experience in program coordination, internship management, human resources, or a related area.
Preferred Experience: Alumni of the City of Philadelphia Mayor’s Internship Program

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000
