A Boiler Installer specializes in the installation and maintenance of heating appliances. Boiler Installers follow instructions and blueprints to maintain and install gas, electric, solid-fuel, oil, and multiple fuel heating systems.

  • Layout and checking of work of apprentices, if assigned.
  • Performing routine maintenance on boilers and associated equipment, and piping systems, burners, and HVAC units
  • Installing various projects and identifying and correcting problems in the areas of Plumbing, Boilers and Piping systems.
  • Modifications and installations that meet or exceed both current codes and our customers’ needs.
  • Performing preventative checks on equipment and promoting efficiency.
  • Communicating with customers, General Contractors and/or owners to ensure that jobs and tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner and to the customer’s satisfaction. 
  • Assist in instructing apprentices about proper installation of various products and systems and current code regulations. 
  • Assist in training, coaching, and evaluating the work of apprentices if assigned. 
  • Required to understand all company policies and assist in enforcing such policies among apprentices.   
  • Must take a proactive stance on safety and report any concerns or violations immediately to the General Manager or Safety Manager.
  • Ensures that instructions and information are related in a constructive and diplomatic manner and that all safety information, warnings and signs are understood and communicated to reporting personnel.
  • If certified in heating, air conditioning and ventilation must keep certifications up to date and provide Human Resources with copies of all licenses and certifications.
  • Be on time and alert for assigned shift and work entire shift as scheduled.
  • Project division personnel must show up and respond to projects requests in a timely manner through the direction of the Installation Coordinator or Salesperson. HVAC project technicians will report at the start of each work shift to their supervisor and check with supervisor throughout the day for duties.
  • Notify supervisor of any situations or problems that would result in delays or work not being completed as expected.  
  • May work occasionally with stressed and upset customers. You are required to treat all customers with respect and concern. If at any time you feel you cannot assist them in a timely manner or answer their questions completely, you must get the assistance of your supervisor.
  • Responsible for keeping work vehicles cleaned inside and restocked. Works with supervisor to make order lists for parts and materials needed each workday.
  • Prepare paperwork accurately and submit in a timely manner which includes job progress information, timecards, materials requisition sheets, return to stock forms, and other information required for the job. Must train all reporting personnel how to properly fill out paperwork as well.
  • Must assist foreman in evaluating jobsites regularly and report to the Project Manager or the General Manager of any person, equipment or situation that poses a health and safety hazard. Assists in informing all personnel on the jobsite of safety problems and report to the General Manager or Project Manager about the progress in correcting the problem.
  • Pass a drug test & Background Check
  • Qualify to drive a company vehicle
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Must understand English in a competent manner in order to clearly communicate questions, instructions or safety concerns to coworkers, supervisor, and those they supervise.
  • Safety procedures and basic instructions for HVAC equipment
  • Work strategies and schematics
  • Local building codes and safety regulations
  • General familiarity with how an HVAC system functions.
  • Determining whether a client needs a simple repair or full replacement.
  • Installation and troubleshooting skills for heating and cooling systems.
  • Finding and fixing the source of a problem
  • Finding or altering replacement parts
  • Installing individual parts (pumps, pipes, fans, etc.)
  • Using power tools safely
  • Maintaining air and water treatments in HVAC systems
  • Performing preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Mechanical skills and systems knowledge keep boilers functioning properly and ensure the safety of homeowners and businesses.
  • Must have current certifications or show relative experience in areas such as installation and repair of piping systems, boilers, etc. and keep these skills and certifications up to date.
  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to commute to our Wheat Ridge location
  • Pay Range $70,000-$120,000
  • Monday-Friday Day Shift (On Call Every 6 Weeks)
